The registration for the NEET MDS Counselling 2024 process began on 1st July 2024 at the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), i.e., mcc.nic.in. MCC is an organization that allocates seats online to undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty medical and dental courses in government-run/aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university colleges based on candidates’ NEET MDS scores. The NEET MDS counselling Round 4 or Online Stray Vacancy Round Registration process is going on currently. MCC has declared a Clear Vacancy for this round, indicating that 158 seats are up for allocation. NEET MDS Counselling: A Step Away From Your Govt. MDS Seat

In the NEET MDS counselling process, candidates select their colleges and specialisations after registration. NEET MDS seat allotment is done based on these filled-in selections, NEET MDS rank, seat availability, reservation criteria, and other variables. Through the exam, 50% All India Quota (AIQ), 50% state quota seats, and 100% seats in deemed/central universities and private schools offer 6, 501 Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) seats. In this counselling process, MCC will fill 50% of AIQ seats and 50% of state quota seats in government and private colleges.

Only those candidates who secured the qualifying cut-off marks in the NEET 2024 entrance exam for MDS are eligible to register for the 2024 Counselling. The deadline for registration is 4th September ‘24 till 3 pm and the last date for choice filling is September 5, 2024, till 8 am. Choice Locking will take place on September 4, 2024, till 8 pm and on September 5, 2024, till 10 am.

NEET MDS Cutoff Percentile And Scores 2024

It is a mandatory requirement for a dental student to achieve the minimum NEET MDS cutoff to qualify for the entrance examination as well as to participate in the NEET MDS counselling process. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced the following cutoffs along with the NEET MDS 2024 results.

Process For NEET MDS Counselling 2024

The first three rounds in the MCC NEET MDS counselling process are conducted online and the last round, i.e., reporting to the institute and document verification is done offline. Following are the steps, common in every round, explained in detail:

Registration 

Registration is a one-time activity for all the rounds of the MDS 2024 Counselling process. Candidates must follow the below steps to register:-

  • Visit the MCC portal (mcc.nic.in) and select the “MDS Medical Counselling” option.
  • Choose “New Registration” now, and complete the registration procedure.
  • After that, on the registration form, enter these details: date of birth, application number, NEET MDS roll number, email ID, father’s name, address, category, etc.

Once the registration for counselling is completed, candidates will receive their login details in their registered email addresses.

Remember,

The information entered at the time of the registration cannot be modified thereafter, so candidates need to be extra careful while filling out the registration form.

Choice Filling & Preferences Locking

Choices and preferences can be edited in every round. Following are the steps to be followed to complete the choice filling and locking of preferences process.

  • Access the MCC portal by logging into the registered account.
  • Post login, select one of the options shown on the left side of the screen. Click the “+” button that appears after each choice to add anything new to the list.
  • By arranging the items in the list in a different order, the preference list can also be modified.
  • Lastly, click “Save and continue” and then “Save and go home page” to close the window. Take a printout of the completed options and save it securely for further use. 

Seat Allotment

On the scheduled dates for each round, MCC announces the seat allocation result. To verify the status of their seat assignment, candidates must locate their application number after the NEET MDS seat allotment result is announced in PDF format. The registration form cannot be submitted without paying the registration fee. Candidates must use a credit card, debit card, or net banking to make the payment online and complete the NEET MDS counselling 2024 registration process. Eligibility Criteria For NEET MDS Counselling 2024

To be eligible for NEET MDS Counselling 2024, candidates must have –

  • A BDS degree/completion certificate from a recognized Dental college,
  • Additionally, Qualified in the NEET MDS 2024 exam, and
  • Completed their one-year mandatory internship by 30th June 2024.

Essential Documents for NEET MDS Counselling 2024

After receiving the seats through the NEET MDS 2024 counselling, the candidates need to report to the allocated institute for document verification. To confirm the seats allocated to them, candidates need to carry the following documents:

  • Original copy of NEET MDS Result 2024
  • Copy of NEET MDS Admit Card 2024
  • BDS degree certificate
  • BDS mark sheet
  • Completion Certificate of Internship (mentioning the date of completion as on or before June 30, 2024)
  • Registration Certificate from the Dental Council of India (DCI) or State Dental Council (SDC)
  • Birth Certificate or SSC mark sheet
  • Photo ID proof (PAN card/ Driving Licence/ Voter ID/ Aadhaar card/ Passport)
