MUMBAI: The state’s department of medical education has chosen to set aside Rs 360 crore as its portion of the cost to increase the number of seats in medical colleges.

This is a positive step by the government in the growth of the nation’s medical eco-system. More students who have worked hard to accomplish their goals would be able to realize their dreams thanks to the increase in seats.

The government has already finalized its original plans for three private medical schools. This news, which will help many students, has been truly overwhelming.

The  Center has approved an expansion of 750 seats in 15 government medical colleges, according to a statement from the agency.

On Wednesday, the cabinet made the decision to set aside the money. According to a report from TOI on Tuesday, the central government has granted over 700 more seats for postgraduate programs at government colleges for the academic years 2022–2023.
