Dr. Vaibhav Garg’s NEET PG Preparation Journey in Brief
From the beginning of his MBBS, Dr. Vaibhav’s main agenda was to become a good doctor During the DBMCI NEET PG 2024 Toppers’ Roundtable, Dr. Vaibhav expressed, “From the very first day, I didn’t think that I have to crack NEET PG or any competitive entrance examinations for post-graduation. My main focus was on gaining as much knowledge as possible and becoming conceptually sound about the field of medicine. I just wanted to enjoy studying medicine as I have always been quite interested in this field.” It was around the later part of his 2nd Year of his MBBS, Dr. Vaibhav realised that he needed additional guidance and resources apart from the standard textbooks. He started following lecture videos and solving MCQs to concentrate on a broader horizon covering all aspects, be it University examinations, Competitive entrance exams or gathering knowledge.
NEET PG 2025 Success Tips by NEET PG Rank 1, Dr. Vaibhav Garg
His one-on-one interaction with Dr Nachiket Bhatia was both insightful and impactful. While reflecting on his preparation strategy, Dr. Vaibhav Garg offered invaluable advice for every NEET PG 2025 aspirant. He emphasized the use of PYQs and PYTs. “If you are planning to cover a whole question bank instead of going through PYQs and PYTs, it is not a very wise decision,” he said. A stronghold on PYQs is a must. However, solving question banks solely during your University Prof Exams is fine.” He explained that ultimately NEET PG is an MCQ-based exam, hence practising MCQs is a must. He also advised to follow your notes while solving QBanks. “If while solving QBanks, you find any essential points that are missing from your notes, add it in your notes.”
Top Ranker’s Advise to All NEET PG 2025 Aspirants
Dr Vaibhav suggested, “Take as many tests as you can. After the test, go back to your notes and find out your weaknesses and where you are lacking or missing.” From his experience, he shared that it is tough to focus on your NEET PG preparation properly with 10-12 hours of internship duties. He used to study between his shifts in internship duties. While talking about the importance of following lecture videos, he praised the concise yet comprehensive One Shot videos by DBMCI. In these videos, the subjects are discussed in pointers and a very crisp format which comes in handy while revising the subject.
He recommended that watching this kind of lecture video during the preparation boosts your confidence to achieve high NEET PG scores. “Keep watching such videos throughout your preparation period, even when you are in a passive frame of mind. As, apart from the knowledge, it acts as a motivation and a push amidst all the exam stress,” Dr Vaibhav added. Furthermore, he accepted that though the One Shot Revision program was quite beneficial, the combination of other DBMCI course materials and programs like Test & Discussions and Workbooks helped him excel in the exam.
