The Union Health Ministry is putting the finishing touches on a new project called “heal in India and heal by India,” a new portal that the prime minister (PM) is set to introduce on August 15. The new website attempts to promote medical travel.
Objectives:
The portal, which was created as part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, will feature a database of medical specialists and facilities to assist foreign patients seeking medical care in India. “India is the world’s pharmacy. The government intends to make it easier for foreign patients to receive medical care by giving them the assistance they need in India.

For people in need of assistance, the program will be free of charge, and it will also address complaints about fraud, price gouging, and poor quality. Additionally, it will have Ayurveda physicians on staff who may be contacted in the event that someone is looking for a treatment through conventional medicine.
The health ministry has identified more than 40 nations from which India receives more visitors. Healthcare professionals are available to the government from both public and private hospitals. “We’ll develop a system to facilitate international patients’ travel for medical treatment hassle-free. They will have access to a site that will give them the necessary information, streamlining the procedure, “He went on to say.
People in the know told ET that the treatment plans will be set up to prevent overcharging of international patients.
Process
42 allied healthcare services have been approved by the health ministry to utilize the platform and look for jobs abroad.
The only thing the medical experts need to do is publish their resumes, achievements, and preferred locations.
The government will assist a medical practitioner who wishes to relocate to the United States by giving him or her access to a reputable, national-level portal where they may upload their curriculum vitae (CV) and search for employment openings there.
The Indian government will be informed via the portal of all the specifics regarding the locations and safety of the Indian national if the profile is picked and the job in the desired country is offered to him/her.
