Preparation Strategies And Advises By FMGE Topper 2024
In exclusive interviews with our faculties, our brilliant students in the list of FMGE topper 2024 have shared the preparation strategies and hacks they used during their preparation and also left their pieces of advice for future FMGE aspirants. Here are the glimpses of a few success mantras revealed by our FMGE toppers.
Dr. Tanmay Gupta – Score 180
Dr. Tanmay Gupta, an MBBS from Voronezh State Medical University, Russia, was a student in the DBMCI FMGE Regular Batch. In an enlightening conversation with our esteemed faculty, Dr. Sushil Vijay, Dr. Tanmay shared about the challenges he faced in his studies while studying in Russia and how he could overcome them. Dr. Tanmay’s FMGE scores for this year are his highest marks in FMGE till now. When asked between a dedicated & scheduled revision plan and chanting, which is a better option for achieving good results, Dr. Tanmay honestly answered, “Whichever topics I just mugged up before exams, I got confused in exactly those questions during the exam.” “But the concepts that I clearly understood and studied, I had no difficulty in answering them. So if you only chant any topics, you will surely get confused while answering the questions from that subject.”
Furthermore, Dr. Tanmay shares a piece of advice for all future FMGE aspirants, “Study limited but high-end and never get stuck at any topic. If any topic is taking too much of your time, then leave it for your revision phase.” Lastly, Dr. Tanmay recommended that keeping consistency in the study schedule is a must. “Don’t waste time. Even if there is any day when you are not feeling like studying or doing anything, watch the practical/clinical videos at least.”

Dr. Purva – Score 170
Dr. Purva completed her MBBS from BAU International University, Georgia and was a student in the DBMCI FMGE Regular Batch. Dr. Purva, in the conversation with our experienced faculty member, Dr. Sushil Vijay, emphasized that sticking to one resource of study is essential. Moreover, she explained that six months of preparation is enough to pass the FMGE exam only if done in a structured and disciplined manner. She further explained, “You can’t select a few topics and only study those topics. You need to complete the whole syllabus and if you are not able to cover all the subjects then at least you need to go through the PYTs and PYQs of those untouched subjects before the exam.”
