NEET PG Result 2021
The NEET Postgraduate Result 2021 has been announced in the form of a merit list. Based on the scores, candidates will get admission into various courses like – Doctor of Medicine, Master of Surgery, PG Diploma, and DNB Seats. NEET PG Tie- Breaking Criteria
If two or more candidates score the same marks, then NBE uses the tie-breaking criteria. The criteria is used to determine the ranks of the students having the same marks. The order of preferences for obtaining rank are-
- Candidates older in age are given a higher rank than the younger ones.
- Less incorrect answers in “Part A” get a higher rank.
- Candidates with more marks in “Part-A” will get a higher merit position.
- If the tie remains the same, then the candidate with more marks in Part-B gets a higher rank.
- If the marks remain the same, then the candidate with less incorrect answers in Part C gets a higher rank.
- If the marks are the same, then the candidate who scores more marks in part C of the NEET PG paper gets a higher rank.
- Lastly, if there is still a tie, then the student with fewer incorrect answers in the overall paper gets the merit rank.
NEET PG Cutoff 2021 (Released)
The National Board of Examinations has released the NEET PG Cutoff marks on 28th September 2021 along with the result.
To qualify for the exam, the candidate must score the minimum qualifying marks or cut-off marks set by NBE. Candidates who score equal to or more than the cutoff will be eligible for the further admission process. The NEET Cutoff Marks varies from category to category. How to calculate NEET PG Result 2021?
In the NEET PG Exam, the candidates have to attempt 800 questions. For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded. Whereas, for wrong answers, -1 mark will be deducted. Types of NEET PG Results
The NEET PG Exam Result is used for 50% All India Quota seats and state quota seats. The admission process will be conducted by MCC (for All India), and State Respective Authorities (for State Quota). Students can check the detailed admission process below-
NEET PG Result for All India Quota Seats
For All India Quota, the NBE releases a result in PDF format. The counseling for 50% AIQ seats and 100% deemed, central, ESIC, and AFMS seats will be conducted by the DGHS on behalf of MCC. The admission will be granted as per the NEET Scores, All India Rank, Reservation Criteria, Availability of seats etc. However, the cutoff marks will be the same as per the minimum qualifying percentile.
NEET PG Result for State Quota Seats
Once the results are announced by the NBE, the respective state authorities start the admission process for the state quota seats. There will be no separate entrance test conducted by the states. Hence, the selection of the candidates will take place based on the NEET PG result, AIQ rank, marks scored, choices filled, reservation criteria, and availability of seats.
