NEET PG Counselling 2024: Know the Entire Process in Detail

The story of NEET PG is not over yet. NEET PG 2024 counselling will start probably by the 2nd week of September ‘24. To participate in the seat allocation process, you need to register on the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (mcc.nic.in). NEET PG 2024 was held on 11th August ‘24 in 2 shifts and the result was released on 23rd August. You need to disclose your preferences while registering online. NEET PG Counselling 2024: Eligibility & Cutoff

Eligibility Criteria

You must attain the following criteria to be eligible for the NEET PG 2024 counselling process:

• Possess a valid MBBS degree or a temporary MBBS pass certificate from an institution approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
• Fulfilled the requirements of a mandatory rotating internship by a certain date specified by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

NEET PG Counselling 2024 Process: A Step-by-Step Approach

For admission to 50% of All India Quota seats, 50% of State quota seats, and 100% of deemed/central universities, ESIC, and AFMS seats, NEET PG counselling is held. MCC will hold 4 rounds of NEET PG counselling 2024 for the aforementioned seats. For the remaining 50% of AIQ seats, counselling will be provided by the relevant State authorities. Step 1: Registration

Before every round, new NEET PG counselling registration is accepted on the official website of MCC. You do not need to register again for NEET PG counselling in 2024, in case, you have already registered once.

• On the home page, click on the “PG Medical” tab.
• Register with a valid mobile number and email address. Make a note of the login information.
• To complete the application, log in once more.

Step 2: Fill Your Choices

In this step, you need to select your preferred course and college from the list provided on MCC. There is no limit on the number of alternatives available to candidates. After selecting your desired college and course, the options will shift to the right side of the page from the left side of the screen. The list of options can have options added or removed. It is recommended that candidates double-check their choices before submitting them, as seat distribution will be based on them.

Below are the steps to fill the choice for NEET PG 2024 seat allotment:

• Visit the MCC website and use your registration details to log in.
• Complete the college and course selection form for the 2024 NEET PG seat allotment. You can click on “+” button to add a new option. 
• After that, Simply drag the filled order of choice to the desired location to rearrange it.
• To lock your final selections, click “save and next.” 

Remember, there is no way to modify the selections made after the deadline; instead, they must be saved and locked before the deadline. After the last date, choices are automatically locked.

Step 3: Report to Allotted Institute

MCC releases NEET PG counselling results in PDF format, including candidate details, rank, course, and remarks. Seats are allocated based on options, All-India ranks, reservation criteria, and availability. You can download their allotment letter by logging into their registered account on the official website. Once allocated a seat in the NEET PG 2024 counselling process, you must show up at the designated institution. All of your certificates must be carried in their original, self-attested copies. To secure your seats throughout the counselling procedure, you must pay the requisite fee.
